Reminder: Check Your Gel Expiration Dates

Gels past their expiration date don’t become dangerous, but they do tend to lose potency — the carbs are still present but some formulations degrade in ways that affect how well they absorb — and the flavor gets noticeably worse. I’ve pulled gels from an old jersey pocket that tasted genuinely bad enough to make me gag mid-climb. Worth cleaning out your stash before building toward any event. Takes five minutes and prevents a very avoidable bad moment at an inconvenient time.
